TAG Heuer

TAG Heuer is one of the oldest Swiss watchmakers with a history stretching back to the 18th century. Despite its long history TAG Heuer has always been underestimated and considered to be an entry-level luxury watch brand. TAG Heuer watches have always been widely available at mom-and-pop jewelers and department stores retailing for as low as about $1,000 or less which is significantly low compared to other brands of its nature like Panerai, Breitling, Patek Philippe which can have their entry-level watches selling for at least $20000 each.

For over a century TAG Heuer watches have been anything but exclusive and legendary in the field of chronographs and sports watches, and they continue as the luxury choice of many.

TAG Heuer has a long and quite rich history, it`s just that it doesn`t brag too much about it as other brands do. TAG Heuer was found by Swiss Edouard Heuer and was initially known as Uhrenmanufaktur Heuer AG translated in English Heuer Watchmaking Inc. Edouard Heuer was both an entrepreneur and an inventor. In in the year 1882, he patented his first chronograph and in 1887 the "oscillating pinion".

After acquiring its series of impressive patents, TAG Heuer became a popular and well reputable brand. In the 1940s, Heuer began shifting their focus, they started developing their line of wrist watches and they began to make chronographs for the German air force. In the year 1948, they launched one of their groundbreaking products, the autograph which had a manual reference hand and a tachymeter scale. The upcoming year the company was showing off once again with the Solunar, the first watch with a tide indicator.

In 1963 the iconic model, Carrer chronograph was born. TAG Heuer closed the 1960s with one of its best and prodigious horological advancements. The company had been working on a top-secret effort called the Project 99 discreetly in tandem with other high-end manufacturers like Dubois-Depraz, Breitling and Buren. The companies unanimously produced the first ever self-winding chronograph movement, named the Chronomatic. The chronomatic was used in three wrist chronograph models, the brand new Monaco, the Carrera, and the Autavia.

The 1980s were not an easy decade for the company. In 1985, group known as the Techniques d’Avant Garde bought the business thus forming the brand name we know today as TAG Heuer. Techniques d’Avant Garde maintained the name Heuer and continued upholding Heuer`s original values. TAG Heuer started the 1990s with a bang as it became the official timekeeper for Formula 1 racing in 1992. This was just another major stride in their longstanding relationship with automobile community.

To date, TAG Heuer is one of the most innovative and sought after watch brands. Over the years TAG Heuer has managed to stay relevant and is just shining more brighter with its quick adaptation to the tech world. This most evident in their meticulous and mind boggling smartwatch, the TAG Heuer Connected. TAG Heuer has undoubtedly secured their place in the history of watchmaking and also in the future.

Why Tag Heuer?

Tag Heuer is my dream watch and I`m sure I`m not the only one. The watch has an ancient history but unlike other High end Swiss watchmakers their watches are more modern and modest. The company has made a considerably large amount of achievements over the years, TAG Heuer is the manufacturer of the most accurate chronograph watch. Some of its watches are measured up to 10,000 seconds which is very rare and very few Swiss watch brands can reach this high level of accuracy.

TAG Heuer is mostly known in the sports world especially in the automobile industry. The company actually specializes in manufacturing watches for some sport and track events. Their watches are both a dash of the sports spirit and a dash of modern day technology. The cases are lined with sleek lines of the car and when we say the movement of a watch is the engine of a watch we literally mean it. TAG Heuer watch movements are designed close to a real car engine. This is one of the main reasons why many people are mesmerized by TAG Heuer`s watches.

It is true that TAG Heuer watches are considered entry level when it comes luxury watches but can be still expensive to the average individuals. Nonetheless, their entry-level watches might not be that much inviting, their most esthetic and sophisticated brands are sold for a couple of thousands of dollars far from affordable.

But there is a solution!

Thanks to high-quality replicas, everyone can manage to feel the pride of having the most prestigious watches tied on their wrist. You don`t have to worry about the crazy high cost, the resell value and neither do you have to worry about its security that much. High end Swiss watches are the target of professional thieves and con artists. Hotwatches have the best collection and identical look-alike watches that will only take a genius watch aficionado to know you are wearing a fake.

TAG Heuer is the realistic replica to buy. If you are an average individual and someone probably sees you wearing a Panerai, Patek Philippe or a Rolex they will probably know it’s a fake without even bothering to examine it. But that’s not the case with TAG Heuer because it is readily available in departmental stores and quite affordable so your secret would be safe!
